Passive PCB-Based Beamforming Networks

Passive beamformers enable fixed or multi-beam radiation patterns without the need for active phase shifters, RFICs or high-power control electronics. By using passive RF networks, beam steering or multi-beam coverage is achieved through geometry and transmission-line design, resulting in highly stable, low-loss and cost-effective solutions.

Smart Sensum designs and develops PCB-based passive beamforming networks, provided either as stand-alone RF modules or combined with antenna systems, including both narrowband and broadband beamformer solutions across microwave and mmWave frequency bands. Systems can also be delivered with integrated RF switching and control electronics for beam selection and system interfacing.
