Radome FSS

A radome is a protective enclosure designed to safeguard sensitive electronic components, such as antennas and transceivers, from environmental conditions. It acts as a shield while allowing radio frequency signals to pass through.

We propose radome FSS (Frequency Selective Surface) solutions for mmWave applications, including the 60 GHz and 79 GHz bands. Our expertise in radome FSS design offers significant advantages over traditional radomes. FSS-based radomes provide enhanced performance with minimal insertion loss and reduced pattern distortion.

Below is an example of radiation patterns of a typical printed antenna array in the elevation plane, operating at 60 GHz band. The comparison is shown between the radiation pattern in free space and with the presence of a radome FSS.
